After raising my three children as a full time housewife for fourteen years, I reentered school to get a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education in 2000. I took the first job to teach at Head Start as an Early Childhood Specialist after I graduated. Two years later, I was hired to become the Children’s Ministry Director at GPCCC. Having been serving in the Children’s Ministry since 2002, I find it a great privilege to partner with parents to train children to know God and love God in deeper ways. I am blessed to study in the program of Family and Marriage Therapy at Fuller Theological Seminary. As three children, Nono, Debra, and Woody left home to pursue their dreams and establish families around the country, my husband George and I are learning to embrace the quieter joy in our empty nest.
Larry accepted Christ while going to college in New York City where he grew up. After his father’s tragic death, he left school to pursue work. While serving in his church’s youth ministry, he got called by God to go into full-time ministry. He quit his job in medical publishing and went to Philadelphia College of Bible. While going to school, he met his love Lily as they served together in church. They married in New Jersey where Larry ministered as an English pastor for a couple of years. He was called to move to Phoenix to be GPC’s first youth pastor in 2001 until he transitioned to the English adult ministry in 2015. Lily and Larry have two teen boys, Nathanael and Isaiah.

Hello my brothers and sisters, I hope you are all blessed with a abundance of love and bliss and walking in the light of His love!
Originally from Northern California, the Lord Jesus Christ called me to himself in 1982. While pursuing my business career, God pointed me toward full-time Christian ministry. I graduated with both a Masters in Business Administration (1989) and Divinity (1993). Upon graduation from seminary, I followed the call to Greater Phoenix Chinese Christian Church, and have served as the English Pastor ever since. I was given the additional responsibilities of Administration Pastor in 2011. In 2001, I married the love of my life, Kathy, and now have three children: Bethany (13), Rebekah (10), and Ben (5). In 2005, I completed my doctoral dissertation from Phoenix Seminary entitled, “Finding Ministry Success for American-Born Pastors in the Chinese Bi-Cultural Church.” I have a published devotional book, “The Faithful and the Flawed.”
Pastor Yang came from Taiwan. He became a Christian when he came to the University of Texas at Austin for his architecture graduate study in 1982. After couple years of professional practice at Dallas, he had responded to God’s calling and studied at the Dallas Theological Seminary. He obtained the Master Degree of Theology in 1992 and then had served as the pastor of Baltimore Chinese Christian Church and the board member of Center for Chinese Biblical Education. In 1997, God called him to serve at Greater Phoenix Chinese Christian Church as a Mandarin Pastor, and was called to be the Senior Pastor in 1999. After years of service, he has sensed the importance of planting churches. Since 2015, with church’s support he has taken the role as a Mandarin Pastor to lead the Gilbert Campus ministry. Pastor Yang and Winnie married in 1985 and they have three grown children, Benjamin, Rebekah and Aaron.
